Responsibilities

    • Research the cannabis laboratory industry and maintain current and in-depth knowledge of the key players and news in the space
    • Maintain up-to-date records of laboratory prospects, leads, and active clients in Copper, our CRM, across all stages of the customer lifecycle/funnel
    • Maintain a full and active sales funnel through a combination of inside sales prospecting and occasional meetings in the field
    • Serve as the primary relationship manager with all live and onboarding lab clients to maximize their happiness and success with our products
    • Write detailed lab onboarding plans using client feedback from emails, phone calls and meetings to guide our client success and engineering teams and ensure smooth and speedy implementations
    • Establish, maintain and improve regular lab client retention and retargeting programs to minimize churn and increase the lifetime value of our lab clients
    • Become an expert in our lab testing platform and lead the training of new lab clients
    • Establish and cultivate relationships with cannabis laboratories, third-party software integration partners and regulators
    • Develop and frequently report sales forecasts and actual performance metrics to VP of Sales & Client Success and leadership
    • Represent the company at certain industry trade shows and marketing events

Qualifications

    • Background in selling to or operating laboratories
    • Good listener and empathetic to client needs
    • Very strong organizational skills
    • High energy, self-starter
    • Very creative and strong problem solving skills, adaptability is critical
    • Strong attention to detail and low tolerance for errors
    • Experience cold calling, prospecting and networking to build robust sales funnel
    • Ability to convert demos to new lab registrations at high conversion rates
    • Ability to pursue long-term projects through to completion
    • Data-driven decision maker
    • Extroverted, personable and easy to get along with
    • A passion for fostering a sustainable and vibrant ecosystem in which every ethical cannabis business thrives
