The better insight on adjacent lifestyles of your unique future cannabis customer allows uxs to build more vivid, detailed and accurate customer profiles than ever before and serve them ads at any point in time.  With our extensive IP and aggregated data on “green-light” marketing channels outside of the cannabis industry, we know better than anyone how and where to advertise cannabis products in the digital space. This lets us place mobile ads in the exact same places you might see an ad for brands like Sephora, Walmart or the NFL.

 

The SDR (Sales Development Representative) will be responsible for prospecting and setting up qualified appointments// meetings for our Sr. Sales Team.

 

This is an ideal role for a collaborative, and motivated team player that is able to gain access to key decision makers in order to communicate the company’s value proposition. This role will allow you to gain exposure to all aspects of the sales cycle and play an exciting role in developing your career in programmatic advertising, performance media sales, and the cannabis industry.

 

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree, preferably in a business related field and have successful sales, sales development or account management experience. Top candidates will demonstrate a passion to learn quickly and take risks to help our team expand our portfolio. The qualified candidate will have a demonstrated interest in marketing, advertising, and analytics and will possess the skill set to get past the “gatekeeper” as this role will be promoted to an account executive.

 

This position will be based in Walnut Creek and report to the SVP of Sales

 

Responsibilities

  • Drive revenue growth by consistent pipeline building using outreach emails, phone calls, with a focus on generating discovery calls and meetings on behalf of the Sales team

  • Research prospects, creatively identify key stakeholders at agencies, brands, and app developers to cultivate and qualify new leads

  • Articulate Mediajels value proposition to decision-makers across a variety of verticals

  • Consistently overachieve against quantifiable goals

  • Qualify leads, identify, target and acquire new business opportunities

  • Help MediaJel grow while learning a handful of powerful skill sets for the future.

What you'll be doing:

  • Source new business on a consistent basis

  • Build an intimate understanding of MediaJel’s offering and our position in the market

  • Develop and execute sales strategy in a dynamic small team environment

  • Reach and exceed aggressive KPIs consisting of outbound phone calls, emails, and pitches

What you'll need:

  • 1 to 3 years relevant work experience

  • A Bachelor's Degree is required

  • Media Experience
  • Basic understanding of the fundamentals of online advertising processes and technology

  • Exceptional communication skills (both verbal and written)

  • Tenacity, and ability to "think on your feet"

  • Comfort in a start-up environment

  • Strong attention to detail

Requirements

  • B.A. or B.S. degree required

  • 1-2+ years of ad sales and/or performance advertising experience (mobile advertising preferred)

  • Experience in or a passion for mobile display/video advertising

 

Quantitative Background

  • Familiarity with performance advertising and user-acquisition buying models (CPI, CPA, CPC, CPCV, CPL, CPE, ROAS)

  • Strong understanding of the advertising ecosystem

  • Passion for mobile technology, iOS, and Android apps, and advertising

  • Exceptional consultative and solution-driven relationship skills

  • Ability to collaborate with account management, AdOps, and creative teams

  • Self-starter with a hunger for finding new business

  • Positive attitude, energetic with a good sense of humor

  • Experienced with SalesForce, Excel, PowerPoint, and Keynote preferred
